Some people are naturally more emotionally intelligent than others, yet if we are not born with this skill, we can develop it and improve our abilities to manage our social relations, our behaviour or the personal decisions we need to make that would engender positive results. The science of mindfulness has become one of the most useful tools to this effect. Integrating mindfulness into our daily lives supports our self-awareness and stimulates our ability to perceive our emotions as they arise. This efficiently encourages self-management, adding new awareness which can be used to redirect our energy towards altering unproductive behaviour.
